Hamas rejects Israeli plan to control Gaza aid distribution

Hamas has firmly rejected an Israeli proposal to bypass international aid organizations and deliver supplies directly into Gaza’s “militarized zones.”

AhlulBayt News Agency: Hamas has firmly rejected an Israeli proposal to bypass international aid organizations and deliver supplies directly into Gaza’s “militarized zones.”

According to IRNA, in a statement on Monday, the Palestinian resistance group stressed that humanitarian aid for Gaza must be administered by recognized international bodies or local authorities rather than used as “a tool of political blackmail.”

Hamas denounced Israel’s plan as a violation of international law and accused it of extending a policy of starvation and distraction. The group asserted that Israel was exploiting the mechanism to stall for time and “commit crimes of genocide.”

The movement urged the global community to reject “false occupation narratives” and press for an immediate end to the blockade, ensuring that food and medical aid reach Gaza through United Nations supervision without external interference.

International humanitarian organizations and the UN have also condemned the Israeli proposal, calling it a “dangerous scheme.” Critics argue that the plan seeks to control the flow of aid rather than genuinely alleviate suffering.

The proposal comes after Israel’s nine-week blockade of all food shipments to Gaza, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the besieged territory.
